Week 3: Music and technology

← Back to home

This week’s focus was on the connection between music and technology, how tools and innovations shape the way music is created, recorded, and experienced. I learned to identify the differences between audio tracks (recorded sound) and MIDI tracks (digital performance data), as well as where they overlap in a DAW. We also covered the practical skills of setting up tracks in a session, sequencing musical parts, and performing basic edits—core abilities for building and refining any music project.

Personally for me, this is very rudimentary knowledge that I have already learnt on my own, i have been able to figure out most funcions on my daw of choice (fl studio) and can effectively edit both audio and midi as i wish.
